Maybe for about 2hrs, allowing Mr. Angus beef to absorbed all the flavor, thus becoming tender. The sear will take place on a hot cast iron, just slap some unsalted butter and listen for the crying. The beans should 've had to soak to save a whopping 20min, but less than 1hr 1/2. Force the kidney/pinto beans to make friends with the Angus steak...fresh garlic, minced yellow/red onions, green chiles, red wine vinegar, cayenne/black pepper, curry and chili powder.
